Sepura announces two major contract wins in Denmark: Billund Airport and Sønderborg Fire and Rescue. Sepura celebrates these recent achievements with Radiocom Denmark A/S, its Danish distribution partner.  TELTRONIC has been associated with the Brazilian PMR market since the late 1990s, having set up its first office in Sao Paulo over a decade ago in order to provide customers with the most advanced radio-communications solutions available. In recent years, a number of high profile customers from a wide range of industry sectors have upgraded to digital technology, allowing TELTRONIC to gain a dominant position in the Brazilian TETRA market.  Trials of TELTRONIC’s Synchronous Data Manager (SDM) demonstrate an impressive fifty-fold increase in GPS positioning refresh rates in Bahia State, Brazil  Haiti’s population of around 10 million is crowded into the western third of the island of Hispaniola. According to official statistics published before this year’s devastating earthquake, it was already the poorest nation in the Americas with one of the lowest life expectancy averages, suffering from chronic unemployment and severe deforestation, and requiring UN peacekeeping forces and substantial international aid.  July 12th, 2010 – The Lima Electric Train Consortium, made up by the companies Odebrecht (67%) and Graña y Montero (33%) has recently entrusted TELTRONIC with the supply of the radio communications system for this mega-project due to the quality of its proposal and the company’s vast experience with similar projects  Zaragoza Police understands the importance of providing the best possible service to its local community and has built up a reputation for deploying the latest technology in its quest for excellence. Back in 2004, it began the roll-out of an advanced TETRA solution supplied by TELTRONIC, which was completed the following year, providing service to its 1,200 officers, 130 police cars and 50 motorcycles, including fixed installations. The TETRA system was integrated with existing ICT infrastructure to provide advanced call centre functionality and video monitoring.  Glostrup, Denmark – 26. August 2010 – The Motorola Solutions business of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), a world leading provider of mission critical communications solutions, today announced that it has won a tender to supply a diverse and extensive portfolio of TETRA digital radio terminals and services to 1,500 fire officers across 19 of Southern Denmark’s 22 municipalities. The solutions will enable the fire services to move easily from analog to digital communication by providing intuitive devices with better performance in voice and data transmission, increased efficiency through remote terminal management and reliability through secure encrypted communications. Additionally, fire brigades will be able to communicate with a touch of a button across mission-critical agencies on the nationwide SINE network. This will help fire brigades secure the safety of more than 1 million citizens in Southern Denmark. The first radios will be rolled out late 2010.  DAMM has been awarded the contract to provide TETRA based mission-critical radio communication system for the 1st Monorail in India.  Warwickshire Police Force has selected Sepura STP8038 TETRA hand-portable radios to replace its existing fleet of Airwave terminals. More than 1,200 handportable terminals will be supplied to Warwickshire Police in the coming weeks. This prestigious milestone contract is the result of successful competitive user trials and technical evaluations, facilitated by Arqiva, Warwickshire Police’s Managed Service Provider, which saw Sepura hand-portable terminals excel against the corresponding competitors’ products. This contract also marks another milestone in the successful relationship between Sepura and Arqiva.  Sepura announces the contract award to its partner Selectric Nachrichten-Systeme GmbH for the delivery of up to 37,0000 Sepura TETRA radios to the German federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz. This substantial contract win closely follows last month’s announcement which put Selectric and Sepura in the spotlight once again for the award of the contract from the German federal state of Saarland.  On April 19th this year the Mexican authorities carried out a simulation of the effects on Mexico City of an earthquake measuring 8.1 on the Richter scale. Sepura radios were installed in Mexico City Police’s command and control centre - the official crisis room for disaster recovery co-ordination - run by the capital’s head of government and the chief of police. Municipal Police, Mazatlan The municipality of Mazatlan in Mexico has selected Sepura TETRA radios for its public safety organisations. The contract with Mazatlan’s municipal authorities, the Secretaria de Seguridad Pública (Public Safety Department), was closed by Sepura’sMexican partner Exsertel S.A. de C.V.  The Government of the German Federal State of Saarland has announced the award of the contract for their entire fleet of 4,000 TETRA radios to Sepura‟s partner in Germany, Selectric Nachrichten-Systeme GmbH. Sepura‟s radios will be supplied to all of the Police, Fire Brigades and Rescue Services in Saarland.  The radio network currently in use with the Bulgarian public safety forces, and dedicated to fire brigade and border police users, was supplied by EADS Defence & Security. The cooperation dates back to 2002, when the Bulgarian Government decided to set up a nationwide TETRA network. With 106 mobile communication sites, the network will cover 81% of the Bulgarian territory.  Thales has won the IRIS2 "Regeneration of the SNCF safety radio network in the Île-de-France" contract. Using Thales' innovative DigiM@x technology, this system will give the SNCF an upgradeable secure network across all train stations and lines in the Paris area by the end of 2011. This contract also includes a comprehensive service proposal including maintenance over 8 years with a possible option to 15 years and the training of the SNCF teams.  ComGroup, Sepura’s Australian partner, has won the competitive tender for the delivery of a TETRA digital system to the remote Gorgon Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility in Western Australia. The Gorgon project will develop the Greater Gorgon Area gas fields with the capacity to provide 300 tera-joules* of gas per day to the whole of Western Australia.  Singapore, 25th May 2010 - Sepura announces at the TETRA World Congress 2010 the contract win for the supply of TETRA radios to the Futian District’s Police Force in the city of Shenzhen in China. This prestigious sales win was achieved in conjunction with Shenzhen Xinghuo Electronic Engineering Co. Sepura’s valued Chinese partner.  Rohde & Schwarz Professional Mobile Radio has installed a TETRA digital radio system in the new Donbass Arena in Donetsk, Ukraine.
 EADS Defence and Security today introduces the first TEDS data radio in the world. The compact and versatile radio brings unparalleled connectivity and data speed to mission critical communication  EADS Defence & Security (DS) have joined forces with State Security Networks Ltd., operator of the Finnish VIRVE network, and started testing the TETRA Enhanced Data Service (TEDS). Tests are running on a test network with the same characteristics as the live VIRVE authority network, apart from the Fortecor TEDS-capable software.  11th May 2010 – EADS Defence & Security has been selected to deliver digital TETRA radio communication coverage for Line 2 of the Shenyang Metro. This contract follows the successful delivery of an EADS TETRA system for Line 1 of this metro.  Sectra’s Tetra crypto is used by public safety agencies in Sweden to protect calls from eavesdropping in the TETRA based radio system Rakel. The Swedish Defense Material Administration is now ordering new security functions from Sectra that will enable users to securely send text messages and location coordinates. The order value is about SEK 5 Million.  DAMM’s TetraFlex® solution is chosen as the preferred solution by Chevron Australia to provide the secure, mission critical wireless voice and data communications for the Gorgon Project in Western Australia, one of the world’s largest natural gas projects.  Shell Amsterdam decides for DAMM’s TetraFlex® Solution to optimise on the security communication plan for its impressive new Technology Centre in Amsterdam (STCA) consisting of 80,000 m2 laboratories and office space.  The upgrade to Airwave’s core emergency services network was instigated to ensure the operational needs of police and other emergency services are met. The radios are an integral part of a new TETRA system replacing an analogue infrastructure which had become outdated and increasingly difficult to support. PowerTrunkTM Inc., a global leader in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) design, manufacture and implementation has been granted authorization from the FCC and Industry Canada for its TETRA BSR75 base station radio/repeater to operate in the 800 MHz and 450-470 MHz bands.  29 March 2010 – EADS Defence & Security and the Ministry of Interior (MoI) of the State of Qatar have opened a common TETRA competence centre in Doha established under the leadership of the Minister of State for Interior Affairs H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani. It's the first of its kind in the Middle East.  March 24, 2010, Berlin (Germany) Testing Technologies' Peripheral Equipment Interface (PEI) Scripting Engine has been successfully validated and accepted by the TETRA Association. Testing Technologies is the TETRA Association's approved PEI Scripting Engine provider. These networks typically use digital mobile communications technologies such as TETRA or TETRAPOL and operate using spectrum in the 380–400MHz band. They offer a range of low-rate data services, but the speed and capacity available within those networks limits the more widespread use of higher speed data applications.  19 March 2010 – The Bulgarian Ministry of Finance has awarded EADS Defence & Security a second contract to supply TETRA radios for the Bulgarian Border Police. Place holder only ignore  Ford Motor Company, in conjunction with Ford Special Vehicle Preparations (SVP), has developed a brand new demonstrator featuring the latest Microbus technology to provide a Police-specification mobile data and traffic enforcement ready vehicle  EADS Defence & Security has been awarded a contract by the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance to extend the TETRA network for the security forces. This complementary contract will achieve almost full TETRA network coverage of Bulgarian territory.
 EADS Defence & Security (DS) and CETC-7 Ltd. (China Electronic Science and Technology Group Corporation No.7 Research Institute) have just been awarded a contract to jointly provide a TETRA radio communication system for the Guangzhou municipal government.  Today Motorola announced it has partnered with NetMotion Wireless Ltd and IDL to supply Westminster City Council with Motorola MC75 Enterprise Digital Assistants (EDAs).  The Canaries Islands’ airports of Grand Canaria and Lanzarote have selected Sepura radios to operate on their new TETRA digital communication infrastructures. Both contracts were made possible by Sepura's Spanish partner Telvent – the Global Real Time IT Company – which closed the deals with Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea (AENA), Spain's airport operator.  The Spanish Municipality of Burgos has selected Sepura TETRA radios for its public safety organisations. This contract was achieved in conjunction with Telvent, Sepura’s Seville-based channel partner.  Sepura has secured the contract to supply TETRA radios to Alpha Ventus, the first off-shore wind farm in Germany. The radios will operate on the advanced digital communication system supplied by 3T Communications AG from Germany.  title holder only - ignore  EADS Defence & Security (DS) and iASPEC Software Co., Ltd. have just signed a contract to jointly provide a TETRA radio communication system for the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau. This TETRA network will be the largest digital trunked network for the police in China providing secure radio communications for more than 25,000 users in the city of Shenzhen. It will also offer secure communication services for the 26th World University Games scheduled for August, 2011.
 HCL Infosystems, India’s premier hardware, services and ICT systems integration company, in partnership with Motorola, a global leader in mission-critical government radio networks, today announced the win of a prestigious project worth approximately US$21M (Rs.100cr) from the Delhi Government to establish the country’s first exclusive Government Radio Network (GRN).  Selectric GmbH has won the tender for the supply of Sepura TETRA radios to the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). The digital terminals will be delivered to the North Rhine-Westphalian Police. The contract awarded to Sepura’s German partner Selectric Nachrichten Systeme GmbH is for c. 25,000 Sepura radios and accessories.  The French city of Clermont-Ferrand has chosen Sepura TETRA radios to enhance communications between the departments and services operating within its municipality. This contract was secured by SYSOCO, Sepura’s longstanding partner in France, whose proposal won an official tender in which a variety of organisations with competing technologies took part.  GLOSTRUP, Denmark – Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), world leader in the development and deployment of TETRA communication solutions, today announced that it has won tenders to supply the Fire Departments of Lolland and Guldborgssund, in the Danish region of Zealand (Sjælland), with its ATEX TETRA portable terminals including the MTP810Ex and MTP850Ex that will provide high quality communication and safety for its firefighters.  BSI (The German Federal Office for Information Security) announced further progress regarding the establishment and usage of the TETRA BOS digital radio network in Germany.
