Critical communications for all professional users

TETRA + Critical Communications Association

Name change for TETRA Association heralds broader role in critical communications

The TETRA Association is changing. A wider scope, and an immediate focus on mobile broadband for professional users, is reflected in the new name: the TETRA + Critical Communications Association (TCCA).

Chairman Phil Godfrey was recently interviewed by industry journalist Richard Lambley. A film of this interview "The evolution of Critical Communications" is available on this website. View the film

A further film in which they discuss the future for TETRA "TETRA today and tomorrow" is also available. View the film

The TCCA has been established in Social Media. It has profiles in LinkedIn as well as Facebook. The use of Twitter and You Tube are also being considered. This is being done as more and more of the professional communications community actively follow social media sources and use them for seeking information.

As you will be aware from recent communications, the change from the TETRA Association to the TCCA was undertaken in order to more easily address the need for future Mobile Broadband technologies. The Board believes that it is now appropriate to create a group within the TCCA that is dedicated to drive the Broadband issue forward and we felt that it would be best to schedule this to follow the Mobile Broadband conference that takes place in February.

The TETRA + Critical Communications Association will continue to offer a number of courses on TETRA in 2012.
